Aultbea Woodcraft was established in 1987 when Peter started woodturning. Since then he has expanded his range and now
produces a variety of pieces which are both useful and beautiful. We stock little things, as well as bowls, clocks, barometers, chairs,
tables, large carved burr bowls. Peter works in both kiln dried and wet wood and uses mainly woods native to Britain
Yew and Burr Elm being especially attractive, although he does also use a small amount of exotic woods.
Aultbea Woodcraft does not sell only wood. We stock a large range of CRAFTS AND GIFTS and the shop is crammed to the ceiling
with what we have to offer. Jewellery, Handbags, Scarves, etc. Pottery, Prints, Photographs and Cards.
AN EVER-CHANGING STOCK OF GIFTS AND CRAFTS ALL SOLD AT SENSIBLE PRICES.

Peter produces special larger one-off pieces to order. He will also make barometers and clocks to order in different types of wood to
suit the customer's requirements.

Hard Wood Cafe was added when we moved to our present premises in 1996. We serve homemade soups, bread and cakes.
Our sandwiches are made to order using homemade bread (usually available) and filled to over-flowing. We serve paninis
(toasted baquettes), platters and our wholesome filling soups (vegetarian and gluten free). Our delicious home baking is made by
us on the premises - our Family Favourite Chocolate Cake and our Coffee and Walnut Cake are especially popular. Our range
includes our shortbread made to a traditional recipe (using Orkney Butter), scones, flapjack and other cakes - it depends on the mood of the cook.
Enjoy our food or just relax with a freshly-brewed coffee and drink in our fantastic panoramic view over Loch Ewe towards the Hebrides.

We are happy to serve you our delicious food and coffee outside at our benches, where you can get closer to nature!
